Follow up
Regular follow up is essential not only for encouragement, support, physical and nutritional advice but also to detect and address potential complications at the earliest stage possible. Examples may include nutritional deficiencies including Vitamin D, Vitamin B and iron deficiency, possible reasons for ‘unexplained weight gain’ or referral if there are concerns related to the surgery itself.
Guidelines are given to all those who undergo gastric MIDBAND™ placement. Based on many years experience in this field it is strongly recommended that these guidelines are followed for the best possible outcome.
